Access the FEMA PA Grants Portal here. Use of the portal is required for processing all disaster reimbursement related documentation. The portal works best using the Firefox browser.

View the latest FEMA (PAPPG) here. The  "Public Assistance Program and Policy Guide" is the definitive resource for policies and procedures related to FEMA PA recovery. This publication is updated frequently.  

Community Rating System (CRS) Presentation Click here to view the presentation made on the CRS for Knox County June 15, 2017. The CRS encourages and rewards community actions that exceed minimum floodplain requirements. The program incentivizes resilience efforts!

Knox County has a wide array of equipment available for emergency or disaster response and agency training.  Click "Equipment Available to assist..." link on left sidebar to see offerings.  You can request use of this equipment directly through EMA. 

Statewide Mutual Aid Agreement

Emergency legislation signed by then-Governor John Baldacci on May 19, 2009 enacted the Maine First Responder Statewide Mutual Aid Agreement.  LD 847-An Act Authorizing Statewide Mutual Aid Among First Responder Agencies  appended Title 37-B  § 784 of Maine Law to provide this coverage to all political jurisdictions in Maine.  View the full plan here.
